Mariana Grigore MD, PhD, Clinical Assistant Professor
I am a consultant Dermato-Venerologist, Doctor in Medical Sciences and University Assistant in Dermatology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest. I graduated from the same faculty and took the national residency exam ranking 10th out of over 5000 candidates. I chose to practice dermatology out of passion and completed my training in residency under the direct coordination of Prof. Univ. Dr. Olga Simionescu, with whom I have been working as a team for almost 10 years. I defended my PhD thesis in 2015 with a research topic related to skin cancer. The teaching activity, which I have been practicing since 2014, has taught me to be patient and to explain diseases clearly and understandably.
I believe that the doctor-patient relationship, based on trust and communication, is an essential element for therapeutic success. No patient should leave the office without understanding their diagnosis or what to do next. Even if we are talking about the same condition, no two patients are ever the same, and the diagnostic and treatment protocol must be adapted to the particularities of each case.
I like to read, especially Russian and contemporary literature, I adore cats, and in my spare time I like to go to the mountains and travel.
